BEFORE YOUR PHYSIOTHERAPY CONSULTATION

• INITIALLY. PATIENT SCREENING will be carried out by phone/digital or paper questionnaire
  Video-consultation may be the most appropriate treatment platform.
  **If  you wish to attend in person – we will work TO MINIMISE CONTACT TIME as follows;
• PT. DETAILS  (we may also ask for your vaccination status/not being vaccinated will not prevent your from receiving in-person treatment) will be TAKEN BY PHONE/VIDEO CALL
• All patients will be asked to bring & wear a FACE COVERING /MASK**
• Pt. should ARRIVE NO EARLIER THAN 5 MINUTES BEFORE APPT
• There will be  MINMUM CROSSOVER of patients in waiting room
• MAXIMUM OF 2 CLIENTS will be allowed into the reception area at any one time -maintaining a physical distance of 2 metres
• HAND SANITISER will be provided on entry
• A SOCIAL DISTANCE will provide protection for patients and reception staff
• ALL CONTACT SURFACES in the reception area will BE CLEANED once the patient moves to the treatment room (including chairs, credit card machine, counter, pens used etc.)
• We will encourage CARD PAYMENTS where possible
• We MAY CALL  pts on the morning of their appt FOR FURTHER SCREENING in relation to Covid Symptoms, recent contacts etc -if a person has any suspect symptoms -their appt will be deferred or they may opt for a video-consultation

ASSESSMENT/TREATMENT

• The clinic has been LAID OUT TO ALLOW FOR AT LEAST 2 METRES BETWEEN PATIENT AND PHYSIO. as much as possible
• Pt will be asked to wear A MASK/FACE COVERING whilst they’re in the clinic
• Physio will wear a MASK & APPROPRIATE PPE (as per HSE and ISCP guidelines) throughout the session/ Mask will be “untouched” whilst worn and changed as necessary
• Good HAND HYGIENE AND COUGH ETIQUETTE will be followed at all times
• Only DISPOSABLE OR WIPEABLE COUCH COVERING/PILLOW will be used
• 15 MINUTES will be allowed for THOROUGH CLEANING & DISINFECTING AFTER each consultation. ALL CONTACT SURFACES WILL BE CLEANED, including pens, computer keyboard, exercise equipment used etc
• Advice & exercises will be FORWARDED by email or phone as necessary to MINIMISE CONTACT & face to face time
• Where necessary, follow up appointments may be carried out by video consultation
• Pts will not be able to sit back in waiting room after appointment (except in exceptional circumstances)

EXTRAS

• We will accommodate people at higher risk (with under lying medical conditions or over 65s) by giving them an appointment at the beginning of the session where possible)
• Extra cleaning of the entire clinic will be carried out at the end of each day
• Physio Staff will arrive and leave work in their own clothes with work clothes being donned & doffed in the clinic 

HOW YOU CAN HELP IF ATTENDING

• BRING your own MASK/FACE COVERING to your appointment
• DIRECTLY BEFORE ATTENDING, MINIMISE YOUR CONTACT WITH ANY PERSON WHO HAS COLD/FLU/COVID TPYE SYMPTOMS OR IS WAITING FOR A COVID TEST OR TEST RESULT
• PAY by CARD where possible
• Phone us & DEFER your appointment if you are unwell on the day
• COME ON YOUR OWN (unless you need a family member to assist you) to your appointment
• DO NOT BRING CHILDREN with you to your appointment (NORMALLY, we are very happy for you to bring them, but at present , we must reduce contacts)
• Practise GOOD HAND HYGIENE & COUGH ETIQUETTE at all times
• Attend suitably dressed (eg loose clothes/track suit) for appt to minimise contact time
